About DDM Sai College

Dawarka Dass Memorial Sai College has been established by Sai Society of Education, Kallar (Nadaun) in the memory of Late Sh. Dawarka Dass Ji, a dedicated educationist and a great hilanthropist. This college is being run by the Sai Society of Education, Kallar under self-financing scheme.
DDM Sai College of Education (B.Ed. course) was established in  2003. It is affiliated to H.P. University, Shimla and is recognized by NCTE with an intake of 2 units.

DDM Sai Institute of Education Training ( D.El.Ed. / J.B.T. Course) was added in 2007 and  affiliated to H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala. The intake capacity in D.El.Ed / J.B.T is 50 students.
DDM Sai Law College was established in 2006. It is affiliated to H.P. University, Shimla and approved by Bar Council of India. LL.B. (3 years) course was started in 2008. Later B.A.LL.B. (5 years) course was started in 2013. The intake capacity in L.L.B. (3 years) & B.A.LLB (5 years) is 60 each.
The College believes in developing personality and creativity of students rather merely communicating factual knowledge of course contents to them.
It is located at a distance of about 1K.M. from Shimla-Dharamshala National Highway-88 in a pollution free area having best academic environment. The college campus is abutted by a road with vast open space and tree groves around. It is situated in the lap of Shiwalik near Maan rivulet, a tributary of Beas river.

College campus consists of mainly three buildings for  B.Ed.,  D.El.Ed. (JBT) and Law courses. The college is well equipped with conclusive infrastructural facilities like multipurpose hall, conference hall, spacious class rooms, Moot Court Room, well stocked library, computer lab etc. Which are necessary aspects of teaching learning process. There is a spacious playground for outdoor games in the campus.

About the Founder

Late Sh. Dwarka Dass Ji was a well-known philanthropist and social worker in Kallar, Nadaun, Himachal Pradesh. He was deeply committed to the cause of education and helping the needy. In order to continue his work, the Sai Society of Education was set up in his memory. The college is currently one of the leading educational institutes in the region.

The vision of the college is to provide quality education. We believe that a student must go through the process of not just acquiring knowledge but also developing themselves in various ways. Quality education is the most important factor for preparing students for different careers and inculcation of high moral values in them is one more way to change their lives for the better. The college is situated in a very convenient location and has a huge campus that is well-equipped with all facilities. We have our own infrastructural facilities like classrooms, labs, playgrounds, etc. For the students who are looking for accommodation near the college, we have hostels as well.
